
Mr. Hatfield is the Senior Vice President of business development and strategy for Carrix.
Mr. Hatfield joined Carrix in 1995 during the startup phase of Manzanillo International Terminal (MIT) – Panama. He managed key operational areas at MIT for 15+ years, including vessel, gate, container yard planning, and a variety of key projects related to MIT’s operations.
In 2010, Mr. Hatfield transferred to the U.S. Gulf Region with SSA Marine as the CSA Operations Manager, serving Mobile, Alabama and Pascagoula, Mississippi. In 2012, he returned to Panama as the General Manager of MIT, providing strategic and operational direction, including organizational restructuring and process improvements. During his tenure, MIT implemented the first yard automation project in Latin America with the commissioning of six automatic stacking cranes, while seeing a 40% increase in MIT’s volume, reaching 2.8M TEU’s in 2021.
In February 2022 Mr. Hatfield was promoted to his current position with a focus on growth opportunities for Carrix’s portfolio.
