The Port of Georgetown is a multi-modal breakbulk facility located on Winyah Bay. SSA Cooper handles various commodities for Georgetown Steel including pig iron, HBI, scrap steel and finished product. Other commodities include rolled wood pulp, carbon black and wire rod.

Driving Directions
From I-95:
  • Take exit 119 on Hwy. 521E
  • Proceed east on 521 approx. 68 miles to Georgetown
  • At intersection of 521 & Hwy. 17, turn south (right)
  • Travel less than 1 mi. and bear right before the foot of the Sampit River bridge
  • Proceed parallel to bridge for a short distance and turn left under bridge to enter terminal

From Hwy. 701 & Hwy 17N:
  • Follow Hwy south into Georgetown
  • Follow less than 1 mi. past intersection of Hwys. 17/521/701 and veer right beore the foot of the Sampit River bridge
  • Proceed parallel to bridge for a short distance and turn left under bridge to enter terminal

From Hwy. 17S:

  • Follow Hwy 17 North into Georgetown
  • Cross the Sampit River bridge
  • At foot of bridge turn right at sign for port terminal
