Mr. Stubkjaer joined Carrix in July 2012, having more than 35 years of prior experience in the Transportation, Terminal Operations and Logistics industry. He commenced his career with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group as a trainee in 1977 and obtained his shipping degree from the company’s International Shipping Academy. Subsequently, he held various positions within the Maersk organization, including international postings in Asia and Europe, among others heading the Maersk organization in Japan (based in Tokyo) and Maersk activities in Asia, Middle East and Oceania (based in Singapore).
In 1999, he became Head of the Maersk Container Business worldwide (based in Copenhagen) and the same year became partner in A.P. Moller and an inaugural member of the Group Executive Board.
After 30 years with Maersk, Mr. Stubkjaer joined the E.R. Capital Holding Group in Hamburg in 2008 as partner, serving as CEO of one of the Groups’ subsidiaries, E.R. Schiffahrt GmbH, a leading maritime service provider within container, bulk and offshore. From 2010, he became vice chairman, E.R. Capital Holding.
Mr. Stubkjaer has supplemented his shipping degree with various executive programs at IMD and INSEAD. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Panalpina World Transport (Switzerland). He received the 2016 Connie Award, which each year is given by the Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII) based on influence and contribution to the containerization and intermodal industry.
